The NorthStar Telescope is designed to unlock the mysteries of the night sky for amateur astronomers--providing the information and navigation tools you need so that you always know what you are looking at. Equipped with a power-boosting Barlow lens, the NorthStar provides 35 to 525x magnification of distant objects in space. The telescope's motorized GoTo built-in database details 20,000 celestial objects. In order to find a region of space, you simply call up your target on the remote hand-held control module, enter a simple "Go To" command, and the NorthStar computer finds your location. Once you have locked onto a object, tracking the object for prolonged viewing is automatic. The NorthStar's RVO (Real Voice Output) feature, meanwhile, provides an interactive way to explore the night sky.
Designed for ease-of-use in the dark that won't impair your night vision, the remote hand-held control module features red, backlit push buttons and a red, illuminated LCD read-out. The telescope comes with both four and 20-millimeter eyepieces, and also features a 1x wide-angle, red dot finder scope. Additional features include a quick-release tripod and accessory tray for fast, easy assembly, and a kinematic mount.
